College officials push for an agricultural building with an initial unit estimated at 150000 dollars. The plan includes an addition to the college library and a proposed Cottage Hospital for men, with requests to legislators for support.
Dr. B F Ladd says budget board will hear requests for 150000 to start first unit of a 300000 agricultural building at North Dakota College, with 12000 for library addition and 5000 to 6000 for a men’s cottage hospital. He notes overall operating costs may rise about 75000 for the biennial period, as campus classes suffer space shortages and prior dormitory use. The war department settlement and army barracks plans affect funding, with no peacetime conversion until settled.
Fargo dealers approved another large automobile show to be held February 5 through 8. Enthusiasm runs high as wartime shortages ease and manufacturers shift to full production, promising a bigger, better event than any in Fargo’s history.

Capt Hanna former governor of North Dakota returns from France where he spent seven months in Red Cross work and led a large hospital center. He notes North Dakota volunteers stood with Yankee troops and shared in the final days of the war near Verdun. He wrote from Paris November 12 recounting experiences with American and French forces and the armistice celebrations.
