Causes of Labor Unrest Given to Congress by the Special Commission
Nine cardinal causes of industrial unrest were presented to Congress by the commission on industrial relations in its preliminary report. They include a worldwide movement for better living conditions, a protest against low wages and long hours, a workers right to a voice in conditions, unemployment and job insecurity, unjust distribution of industrial wealth, and widespread misunderstanding and prejudice among labor and management.
