The Democratic slate won Arkansas last Monday by nearly sixty thousand, the largest margin on record. Ticket includes William J. Bryan for President and Arthur Sewall for Vice President with L. H. Karr C. W. Davis WM Boiles Charles Ruegnitz L. R. Bolter Amos Steckel Thomas J. Denison among others.
Geo F Holbert ex county attorney of Union county will address city voters Friday September 18 under the democratic state committee. An adjourned democratic county convention meets at the court house Saturday September 26 at one oclock to nominate a county ticket. S M Casey democratic nominee for congress will attend and speak.
The Indianapolis gentlemen repudiate the democratic platform claiming it lacks democratic principles. They favor the St Louis expo doctrine drawn up by Hanna Quay Foraker and Lodge as a true expression of party ideals.
The People's party convention at Mt Pleasant nominated Sabert M Casey for Congress. Casey had earlier been nominated by the Democrats, making his election likelihood more certain.
