Chicago Oct 24 one week from Tuesday twenty nine states will elect governors plus other officials. The article lists candidates by party for each state including Colorado Connecticut Delaware Florida Idaho Illinois Indiana Iowa Kansas Massachusetts Michigan Minnesota Missouri Montana Nebraska New Hampshire and more. It notes several states had governors elected earlier or holdovers into next year.

Mrs. N. C. Angstead left this afternoon for Omaha called there by injuries to her son Robert who sustained a ruptured blood vessel while diving in the YMCA pool yesterday in Omaha.
Governor Wilson heads to Chester for two speeches at noon then to Philadelphia for two rallies tonight. He plans a New Jersey tour Tuesday and Wednesday backing the legislative ticket, with stops in New York Thursday and Rochester Friday.
Burlington moves to place a 2 mill tax for ten years to purchase equip and maintain a Des Moines county public hospital near Burlington. The move enjoys support from the Medical Society Commercial Exchange Red Cross and women’s clubs as Des Moines county follows Washington and Jefferson counties in hospital effort.
Miss Nettie Davison and Ross A. Capps wed today in A. V. Frazey’s undertaking rooms at 117 North Court Street. The ceremony, arranged with Rev. Ireland, had only the bride’s parents Mr and Mrs Stoner Davison and the groom present. The couple, post ceremony, plan to move to Pekin Town where the groom farms.

Henry Bramer of 705 South Fifth street, a drayman, suffered a severe leg crush below the knee when a heavy safe being raised to Dr. E. G. Myrick’s office at 61 East Broadway slipped the rope and fell on him. Doctors treated him at the scene and he was taken home. both bones were crushed and he cannot work for months.
Local interest centers on a proposed $16 million suit by Captain T J Morris of Los Angeles against the United States. R B Ross of this city is named as one of the claimants through his relation to Morris, with heirs in Missouri Illinois and Kansas.
William J. Bryan will close a two months campaign for Governor Wilson with a three day Nebraska cleanup tour. The trip begins October 31 from Lincoln on a special train through key cities and towns, aiming to rally support ahead of the election.
