Cribbing corn and cellar stores mark the season as families prepare for winter. Charlie McClain begins a four month school at Glendale on October 21. Ella Louthacre will teach the Union district school. Mrs. McClain returns from Burlington and reports Aggie is out of danger. Mr. Damm shipped two carloads of stock last week. Frank Heaton and wife of Maple Lake Minnesota visit his mother with their fourteenth and fifteenth children and seventeen grandchildren. Vic Toothacre and Eva Archibald visit Annie Nixon at Utica in Van Buren county who is feeble with consumption. Sunday school at W Parsonsville is well attended. The church remains a focus. Prof Curtis of Mt Pleasant held a practical service Sunday afternoon. Bert Stubbs arrives in New York and is due back with 25 or 30 head of fine horses.
