A girl in the East tamed a two week old hummingbird to perform tricks. A Chicago girl trained a sign board to fall on command by winking at it. Widowed Galt was gagged and robbed in Heath Massachusetts on September 19. A large sum vanished with no clue. Darwin N Gardner, longtime Cleveland Police Clerk, shot his wife and killed himself on September 24. she is not fatally wounded.

Sailboat accident at Albert Lea leaves one dead

Three men from Iowa sailed a small boat off Fountain Lake near Ballard's Point on Sept 24. Safely sank, Jackson alerted others who recovered the body after an hour and a half. Gregg survived after rescue. Safely's brother works for the Burlington Cedar Rapids & Northern Railroad.

In Essex Market court yesterday Justice Patterson orders a woman with two black eyes to leave or be locked up. The woman demands arrest of her husband who allegedly beat her. The magistrate recalls prior arrests and warns of a warrant while suggesting she prosecute or face detention.
