Deadly explosion at Hancock dynamite plant in Michigan
At noon a dynamite packing house of the Hancock Company in Michgan exploded. Six workers on the premises Willie Renaud Charles Barkell Thomas Thompson Tim Crowley Wil King and Wm Sapp were killed as the building housed 1500 pounds of dynamite. Search for bodies continued until nightfall with only scraps found. The cause of the blast remains unknown.

Lingg’s jail suicide blamed on dynamite bomb
ChicagoNovember 14. The last traces of anarchy left the county jail when the cells were cleared and the belongings of the executed men given to relatives. In Lingg’s cell fragments of gas pipe proved the weapon was a real dynamite bomb not a fulminating cap. Jailers suspect visitors smuggled the bombs through the wire and Lingg hid them in his hair.

The stating agent of the Chicago and Atlantic at Rochester discovered a dynamite bomb in a freight car near Peru Indiana. The device was made from gas pipe with a fuse rope cap and a cartridge in the other end. The dangerous missile was turned over to the police.
