Packwood veteran Packwood Wilson Kingkade Bottorff born May 14 1848 in Clark County Indiana died October 24 1921 at 78 in Packwood Iowa. Survived by wife Linda Gantz and eleven children with two infant losses, thirty grandchildren and four brothers. Funeral at Christian church with S K Coats officiating. Interment Blue Point cemetery.
Pleasant Plain residents Charles Nicholson and wife of Fairfield spent Tuesday with Mr and Mrs Jessie Lamm. Hodson returned Monday of last week for a family visit. Miss Michener hosted a lady friend from Fairfield. Miss Wilson was called to her home.

Funeral services for Mrs. James Longerbone held at Abingdon Christian church. she died of pneumonia at her daughter’s in Farson. The Longerbone family moved to Des Moines five years ago. George Sparks and wife of Linville visited their son Luther Sparks. Mrs. Ray Nelson and daughter Velda visiting Ottumwa relatives. Frankie Steele and family returned from Merkling South Carolina. Mrs. Bradshaw and daughter of Agency visited Fred Bradshaw. James Snider sold fat hogs to Ed Harris of Batavia Thursday.

Irene Roa teaches at the school. The Good Cheer group tied comforts for the Orphans Home in Council Bluffs after lunch. Leo Blough and children visited E A Parsons. Lawrence Ogden is ill.
Lindy Ward reports the deaths of Campbell Glenn near Bladensburg and Willson Bottorff near Richland who lived with his daughter Mrs Wesley Graham after his wife’s death. M N Smith’s brother in law Campbell Glenn also dies. services held Wednesday.
