Call for Democratic State Convention in Des Moines

Iowa Democrats call a delegate convention in Des Moines on the 2nd day of June 1897 at 10 o clock A M to nominate candidates for governor lieutenant governor supreme court judge railroad commissioner and superintendent of public instruction and to transact other business. Delegates number 1215 statewide with counts by county and district, urging immediate organization and pledging support for reform in state government. M F Healy chairman E M Carr secretary.
