Damon and Pythias Recital Fails to Draw Crowds
The Opera House audience was small for Homer D. Cope’s reading of Damon and Pythias. Despite a cold and limited ability in aria parts, Cope impressed as a magnificent reader and born actor with rich voice and clear character portrayal. The Knights of Pythias deserve praise for bringing him, and a bright future for Cope is anticipated. Organ interludes by Mrs. Al Hil bert supplemented the program.
