Senate Defers Force Bill as Apportionment Moves Ahead

Kansas on the 27th elected Wm Alfred Pfeffer Alliance to replace him, while John J. faces retirement. Illinois senators count 37 ballots with no clear outcome. Palmer and Democrats remain hopeful of victory.

Polk thanks Boies for reform club speech letter
