Hugh Wilson a respected county resident died at his home four miles southwest of Libertyville Monday at 3:30 AM. Born July 15, 1815, he was 78 and came to the state in 1839 and married Eliza Boyd in December 1839. Funeral was held at the family residence Tuesday at 11 AM.

John Mahin of Muscatine, and Supt. Stewart of Ottumwa. The eight top scorers will advance to compete that evening. Two judges for delivery are Johnson Brigham of the Midland Monthly Des Moines and Rev. W. O. Watters. a third judge is yet to be chosen.
