Death Announcement for Jeremiah Bates in Kansas

Jeremiah Bates died at his daughter’s home in Sherman County Kansas on December 21 in his eighty sixth year. He traveled from Jefferson County with his son J D Bates and wife to visit relatives in Kansas. He suffered a bout of grippe and died after days of illness. He was born in New Jersey and had a large family with multiple marriages and many living children. Funeral services were held New Year’s Day at his daughter’s home in Kansas and burial followed in a nearby cemetery. The family extends thanks for aid during illness and death.
