City Council Passes Fire Bell Ordinance and Scavenger License
At a Thursday evening meeting Mayor Hinkle and trustees approved an ordinance to place a 200 pound fire bell in each ward costing up to 150 dollars for four. The scavenger license was also approved. A white oak lumber contract for 14 000 feet was awarded to W G Stephenson at 18 20 per 1000 feet with a 100 dollar load. City election appointments were made for wards one through three with specified polling places, judges and clerks.
