Call For Democratic County Convention
The Democrats of Jefferson county Iowa will hold a delegate convention in Fairfield at the courtroom on Saturday September 3 1898 at eleven oclock A M to select delegates to the state and congressional conventions and nominate county officers including Clerk Auditor County Attorney Recorder and Supervisor. Delegates are apportioned by township with one delegate per precinct and one for every thirty votes and fifteen or more for F E White in 1897. Voters supportive of the 1896 platform are invited to attend primaries September 1 at 7 30 P M to choose delegates and a county committee member. By order of the democratic county central committee J F READY Chairman.
