County convention to nominate state and local officials
Township conventions will nominate candidates for Senator, U S Representative, County Treasurer, Sheriff, Auditor, Supervisor, Superintendent, Surveyor and Coroner. Each township gets one delegate plus one more for every 25 votes and any fraction over 15 votes cast for Hon. Joseph C. Knapp in October 1878.
