Old Hedrick Resident B D Mowery Dies After Long Illness
Basil D. Mowery born October 12 1836 in Knox County Ohio died Thursday at his Hedrick Iowa home after months of illness. A former Jefferson County farmer and vice president of Hedrick State Bank he lived on a Pekin area farm for about fifty years. Funeral Saturday at Christian Church in Hedrick with Rev. Heicke and interment at Abingdon followed. He had moved to Hedrick eleven years ago and was active in town affairs.
