The No.8 schoolhouse literary society held a mock trial on Thursday evening March 28. The grand jury indicted Chas McClain for horse theft from Arthur Jordan. Attorneys Pence Riniker Darrah Sawyer, judge McCord, clerk Maxwell, sheriff Hoopes, and a six member jury presided amid crowd noise and disruption.
