Building OK'd with traffic concerns on Black Rock Turnpike
The Town Planning and Zoning Commission approved a 20,980 square foot retail building at 2215 Black Rock Turnpike, adjacent to future Gap stores and an Old Navy. They imposed restrictions including a right-turn only exit, back-screen fencing, a new traffic study, and shared parking with nearby properties to mitigate traffic on the state highway. The one-story center with glass panels and granite tiles replaces a demolished Shell site. tenants are not yet named.
