Easton Faces Budget Strains Over School Growth and Cuts
Easton residents confront ongoing school funding pressure after last month budget votes. The Board trimmed over 1 million from the 2002 03 plan and architects work to reduce an initial 36 million elementary school project on Morehouse Road. With a largely residential tax base, taxes are set to rise about 8 percent this year as programs and construction budgets shrink.
