Rare white alligator visits Beardsley Zoo exhibit
Shulty, a leucistic eight foot, 150 pound white alligator from Louisiana, visits Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport as part of Nature's Palette. Zoo officials note white pigmentation with blue eyes, explain differences from albino, and say only 23 known white alligators exist worldwide, all males.
