Exercise May Cut Age Pain Risks Over 14 Years

Administrator Thomas J. Tortora notes research on nearly 900 adults aged 50 plus shows regular runners and vigorous exercisers were less likely to develop joint and muscle pain over 14 years, despite higher fracture history. Sedentary peers had more arthritis, suggesting exercise and endorphin effects. Regular activity slows muscle loss, strengthens bones, improves mobility and balance, reducing fall injuries.
