Mob Kills Farmer After Sheriff Shot In Michigan
In Battle Creek Michigan on September 15 Frank Van Tassell a farmer was killed by a mob of about 700 after he shot Sheriff George Ralston during an attempted arrest. A two hour siege ended when torches set his barn ablaze and he was fatally shot as he fled through the flames.
