Miss Maudeline Baldwin married Mr. C Alfred Owen of Eldon at the home of the bride’s parents in Selma on Wednesday November 14 1906. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Barber with Miss Nillie Ball presiding at the piano and Mrs L W Van Nostrand singing. A lavish wedding dinner followed as guests welcomed the couple who will reside in Eldon after December first. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs W F E Baldwin, is a noted musician with many friends. the groom is head salesman for J E Trott Clothing Co. of Eldon. Numerous friends attended from Ottumwa Davenport Des Moines Fairfield and Rock Island Illinois.

Injured Brakeman James Murdock Sees Worsening Condition
James Murdock, brakeman for the Burlington, was severely injured Monday in the yards at Galesburg Illinois. A telegram stated no life threat, then doctors performed an operation and his condition improved, but his prognosis remains doubtful as his father traveled to be at his bedside.

Des Moines reports that the next two Republican state conventions in Iowa will have between 1170 and 1190 delegates each. One convention will name delegates to the national convention and the other to the state ticket.
