Injunction Bars Minister at St Pauls Lutheran Church
Terre Haute Ind Oct 31 The Rev John Fredericks pastor of St Pauls Lutheran Church and presiding elder of Immanuel Synod was barred from further work by an injunction issued in the superior court on petition of church trustees. They charged he soured on his congregation and attacked members from the pulpit. Fredericks denied the charges saying they arose from opposition to Lutheran constitution. He announced his resignation and Rev J P Reinhart arrived to succeed him. The trustees said he refused to allow Reinhart to preach. Fredericks plans to leave the city to devote time to his duties as presiding elder. He is an attorney as well as a minister and defended himself in court.
