Indiana flyer killed in hydroplane crash near Fire Island inlet
Ensign Spencer T. Alden of Fort Wayne Indiana was killed and Philip P. Mooser of Boston was seriously injured when a naval hydroplane side-slipped 600 feet and fell into South bay near Fire Island inlet.
