In Sharon Pa on March 23 Willie Whitla returned safely to his mother after $10,000 was paid to kidnappers in Cleveland. The boy was aided by a candy-store woman and two youths who helped steer him to the Hollenden hotel where he reunited with his father. The reunion drew a cheering crowd as the child said he was treated well by his captors.

A college freshman and sophomore class hosted a county fair for the athletic association last night. The event drew large crowds, raised about 60 dollars for the baseball team, and featured a popular plantation show a 15 minute minstrel act and crowded amusements such as a fortune teller wheel and ice cream parlor. The basement attractions included a baby rack giggle alley and a menagerie. The closing high dive thrilled attendees.
