A Pleasing Juvenile Circus in Fairfield
DuBois and Birt Company presented an afternoon one ring circus in Fairfield with a grand parade. The show featured Dewey the trick pony, Fred Neibert’s dogs, clowns Dan Sullivan and Vance Curtis, Indians on horseback, cowboys and dramatic wild west scenes. Admission was five cents with under fours free. tents and balconies withstood crowding, and after the performance children enjoyed pony rides.

Young Fairfield Man Severely Injured by Falling Rock
A Fairfield youth named Dick Coats was crushed by a rock during construction at the Carnegie library on Parsons College grounds. The rock fell as a derrick hoisted it, breaking his skull and injuring internal areas. surgeons operated and he is under care at his parents' home with uncertain prognosis for recovery.
