No Shortage of Gasoline Foreseen This Summer
A. C. Bedford, chairman of the Petroleum War Service Committee, says there will be no gasoline shortage in the country this summer. He notes the normal supply has risen in winter, due to war demands for fuel oil used on ships and in munition plants. Production of lighter fuel must keep pace with heavy oil, and despite potential Europe demand, sufficient tankage exists. While conserving some use may help, there is not enough storage to hold a large reduction in consumption.
