Thanksgiving events brighten Fairfield church and homes
The Ladies Aid Society hosted a successful Thanksgiving supper raising 66 dollars in the Bethesda church basement. A country store with a cage hen drew laughter as it netted 9.25 dollars. A quiet wedding united Clara Byczek and Charles C. McGuire at Rev. Benne’s home in Burlington. The couple will live in Fairfield. Various clubs and circles held meetings and social hours at homes on East Lowe and West Hempstead streets, with gatherings of the Loyal Women’s Bible Class, Pythian Sisters, Non Seista Club, Yeoman lodge, and Methodist groups planning future events and meals. A Thanksgiving visit honored Mrs. Mary Fuller, and a large upcoming schedule of meetings and adoptions was noted.
