Chautauqua Finances Not Encouraging
The Fairfield Chautauqua association reports a year with strong receipts but a growing deficit. Total receipts reach 5849.91 with expenses about 6563.50 and a core deficit around 713.59. Loss on Elman and $175 of stock purchases widen the shortfall to roughly 262. This warns Fairfield citizens that sustained effort is needed to save the event.
