Union Meeting Inspiring Park Service At Franklin School

A Sunday union meeting drew a good congregation to the Franklin school grounds in Fairfield Iowa despite threatening weather. Rev Dr R G Jones of the Episcopal church delivered a fine sermon on Christ’s atonement and faith, with the choir leading in traditional hymns. Next Sunday Rev Thomas Osborn of the Methodist church will care for services. The program also features moving pictures and illustrated songs with Miss Elsie Rose Carrick and Edith Wheeler, plus George Hoffman and D W Robertson, promising top entertainment.

Fairfield Lively A Summer Full Of Entertainment Ahead

Fairfield residents enjoy a busy summer with weekly band concerts and a moving picture show. The chautauqua opens August 16 with plans for a grand, high class program and ten days of attractions. Roosevelt to appear in Fairfield moving picture event

President Roosevelt will be seen in a grand moving picture in Fairfield on Monday evening August 14 before a parade in Washington. D W Robertson's New York City company brings the show for a fourth Fairfield visit in one year with a grand concert and illustrated songs. Seats are on sale at Louis Thomas furniture store.
