El Paso April 20 Carranza patrols opened fire on American border patrols in the western sector of El Paso. The Twentieth U S infantry returned the fire. One Carranza soldier was killed and Brigadier General George Bell Jr ordered a strong protest through Consul Soriano Bravo.
