The N A T T Co steamer J J Healy passed Kaltag en route to Fairbanks carrying the barge Omaha from St Michael and 450 tons of freight for the Fairbanks district. Barr passed Birches bound for St Michael with passengers from Tanana and nearby. J P Light to sail from St Michael soon with heavy freight, crews of the steamboats have arrived on the Ohio and the Healy will leave Chena early next week to connect with Isom at Fort Gibbon.
A large crowd attended the social hall dance given by Jack Connelly on Vault Creek Saturday night. Music was first class and attendees enjoyed themselves. many couples from Dome and Cleary creeks filled the hall. Ladies were plentiful and the event was hailed as the best of the season.
