A five story Cleveland office and store building burned after fireworks on the ground floor ignited a skyrocket. The blaze trapped hundreds as firework rain struck shoppers and workers, with at least ten dead and more than one hundred injured. Rescue teams recovered several bodies as the fire was brought under control.
The report says a broad subscription campaign in Japanese cities supports relief for flood victims along the China coast. Authorities note the friendly outpouring marks a shift from former hostilities and signals improved relations between the two nations.
In San Francisco on July 3 both Gans and Battling Nelson passed weight checks and trained lightly as they prepare for a 45 round bout tomorrow.
