The Court of Directors of the Bank of England announces exchange of stamped Dorengs dollars at the Tower cash office from Oct 2 to Oct 31 between 10am and 2pm daily except Sundays, at 4s 6d per dollar. After Oct 31 dollars cease to be current. Smaller than 20 dollars cannot be exchanged.

Bath October 11. A man long known for obtaining credit with fake copper-plate notes was examined at the Guild Hall and committed to prison. A note copy lists a bank spoof promising fashion boots for ready money, signed by Emid G. Maker. The suspect, James Nevan alias Atkins, 5 ft 10 in, dark hair, lived in Pool Lane, Liverpool, five years, last seen June, wearing blue coat and corduroy breeches.
Reports say mortality in Choizini reaches plague levels with the town deserted. The Pacha and garrison, along with few inhabitants, encamp near the fortress as infection spreads into Volhynia and Podolia. At Choczim many garrison survivors are relocated nearby.
