Freshwater Company led by Captain Russworth, about 3080 men, assembled at Parkhurst Forest Camp and marched to the castle where prayers were read and a sermon preached by the Rev. George Hayter from the 66th Psalm. The ritual included processions to the altar, with Lord Borrow and other officers present.
