Their Lordships met at twelve o'clock and after prayers proceeded to the Abbey where the Bishop of Sh. Barids preached before the Lords taking his text from the thirteenth of Saint Paul’s Epistle to the Romans. Lord Loughborough attended for the first time as Chancellor.
Members of about 69 attended a service at St Margarets Church after meeting in the House of Commons. The session adjourned without transacting any public or private business.
