R W Vaughan expresses deep thanks for a large respectful meeting arranged by the Sheriff. He renews his pledge to represent the Independent County in Parliament with upright, diligent service and asks for continued freeholder support. He vows to report only if impeded by weather or illness and to correct lifts if omissions occur.
At a December 20 1791 meeting in London hat makers urged enforcement of the 24 Geo III c 21 act to curb exports of hare skins hare wool and coney skins citing high prices. The resolution calls for publishing the acts in all London papers and distributing copies to port towns.
