Royal Family Attends Divine Service at Windsor Morning
Yesterday morning the Royal Family attended divine service at St George's Chapel Windsor. The sermon was preached by Rev Dr Winsey. The Duke of York met a long conference with the King at Windsor. Government reportedly learned the Combined French and Spanish fleets were ready to sail. Two Admiralty Messengers were sent to Torbay and Portsmouth to hasten our squadron. The King hunted with the stag hounds on Saturday, attended by several nobles. A large bag of bills was found at Wigan Post Office door. The Aberdeen Packet wrecked in the Firth of Forth with many perishing. The Mail from Edinburgh to Aberdeen now travels by horseback. In Montrose and surrounding towns men lie in vast numbers due to ongoing strife. The drowned lad’s body, found near Windsor Bridge, was identified by his Marlow parents.

French unrest abroad and domestic plunder protests
The letter from Paris blames English cabinet actions for widespread robbery and misery in Western departments. It notes armistice breaches by Chouans, arrests of French nobles and Jewish plutocrats, and Turkish treaty shifts affecting the Crimea. It cites brigands in rural cantons, paganized levy pressures, and priests accused of recruiting families into conflict while Loyalists seek peace as rumors fly of a Bretton naval move and possible intervention in Ireland or Egypt.

The Chouans and Armistice at Anjou Dispatch
Angers reports the Commander in Chief suspended arms with the Chouans to seal a peace, but royalist forces exploit the truce while Republicans observe it unevenly. Royalists travel freely, and charges of favoritism in enforcing the armistice arise amid rising Chouan boldness and depictions of unreliable safeguards. The dispatch from Nantes details debarkations, reinforcements, and fear for patriots as hopes for lasting peace waver.
