On Wednesday night last about 9 o'clock Mr Kixe of Rotherwick was stopped on Three-mile Cross by a single footpad and robbed of his cash and greatcoat. On Thursday about 5 near Beenham a gentleman and two ladies were stopped on the Bath Road by another footpad who took 21 1s 8 1/2d. He was pursued and captured after an hour's chase crossing the Kennet. his possessions included the items taken the day before.
