Minerva East Indiaman Salvage Case In The Downs

Robberies in Cur berland and Bath Road frighten locals

An Agricultural Society is to be forcited in Cur berland under the au, and at the exjirels de fire, of the President of the Board of Acticaiiirs. On Wednesday night last about 9 o'clock Mr Kixe of Rotherwick was stopped on Three-mile Cross by a single footpad and robbed of his cash and greatcoat. On Thursday about 5 near Beenham a gentleman and two ladies were stopped on the Bath Road by another footpad who took 21 1s 8 1/2d. He was pursued and captured after an hour's chase crossing the Kennet. his possessions included the items taken the day before.
