Washington September 30. Secretary Adams and his admirals seek methods to cut about 35 million dollars from the navy budget while preserving the current shipbuilding program. Hoover orders reduced expenditures and a slash across general costs, with a liberal 10 million cut feared in living expenses.
The annual meeting and fourth quarterly conference of the Methodist church will start at 7 p.m. with a pot luck supper. CLEAR LAKE Sept 2 Two men faced liquor charges after a robbery incident in which one half pints of liquor moved between them. Mike Mitchell was arrested for taking liquor from Clarence Buttedshl and held on robbery charges with a $2000 bond. He later faced possession of liquor with bail at $900. A third arrest for transporting liquor carried a $500 bail. Buttedshl pleaded guilty in justice court and received 70 days in jail.
