Lake Preston Wins Lake Preston Diamond Ball Game

Lake Preston high school defeated Oldham 43 to 8 on the home field marking their first win of the season. The team is weakened by graduation of eight lettermen and Edward Sloum begins his first year as coach succeeding J T Rider who moved to Town. The Arey game fell to Erwin 24 to 13 on the Erwin diamond. The Lake Preston main street bustle continues as the No 14 road tour closed and under construction causes heavy traffic and dust control with sprinkling. A public auction in Blunt saw Mrs Eva Peck dispose of farm and household goods. Jack Roth sold his goods and planned to join his family in Oregon.
