Preliminary work on the Huron post office expansion is set to begin soon with electric wiring removal east of the current building. Huron Construction Co. won the $120,515 bid to double the facility and add offices and mail spaces.
Mr and Mrs Robert D Lusk entertained twelve couples at a dinner at the Hotel Marvin Hugnits last evening A Berlin guest Miss Etten Oppler stayed with Mr and Mrs Steward T Shober and Mr and Mrs Willis H Chase recently married. The evening was formal and enjoyed.

Mr and Mrs Clarence Disney depart for Denver to attend the Veterans of Foreign Wars national convention and visit Disney family. Lalla Battin Music Studio advertises violin and piano lessons. Remember Flemings for Corsets ad noted. Miss Morse and Miss Andrews underwent a medical procedure at the Huron Clinic with reported steady recovery. Mr and Mrs J W Ratshar of Second Street Southwest plan to move to Faribault Minnesota.
Lorna Buckley of Sunshine School notes opening on August 31 with 11 pupils. The same teacher as last year teaches Adena Pullman, the new pupil, in a freshly painted white schoolhouse with updated desks.
Dr E Bateman of the Forest Products Laboratory Madison reports a new use for sawdust. By digesting the material with chemicals and adding analine and furfural, then pressing at 2000 to 3000 psi, a hard plastic resembling bakelite in appearance and strength is produced at low cost.
Five new courses are offered this year at Blunt High School including biology taught by H. H. Siegele dramatics and journalism led by Miss Elizabeth Bantz and junior business training by Miss Constance Grafton. The program broadens student subjects.
