Earl John Weidemann aged 14 months died after being run over by his father's car while playing under the vehicle at the Raymond area farm five miles northeast of town. The tragedy unfolded as the father entered the house and later found the child in the yard. a brain hemorrhage caused his death minutes after the incident. He is survived by his parents Mr and Mrs Henry Weidemann two sisters one brother and grandparents Mr and Mrs John Fokken of Raymond.

New York had nine traffic deaths and a total lower than expected NSC projections.
A bullet from a high powered rifle fired by revelers at a local tourist park yesterday morning lodged in Halvor Halverson's mattress while he slept. Halverson, 78, was not hurt. Police are investigating the incident.
