The Catholic ceremony took place at St Martin's Church at six o'clock Wednesday morning officiated by Rev Father J J ONeill. Edna Milne and Emmett Walsh were wed, with Miss Marian Walsh and Michael Boyle as attendants. A three course breakfast followed at the Coughlin home before the couple departed for a brief wedding trip and planned residence in Omaha. Edna Milne, a former St Lawrence High School teacher, and Emmett Walsh of Huron currently employed by Union Pacific in Council Bluffs.

FDA Pork and Egg Purchases in South Dakota outlined
In September the Food Distribution Administration bought over two million dollars of South Dakota pork products and dried whole eggs to fill war orders. Earl Langkop reported 3,703,000 pounds of pork cost 1,054,920 with 128,860 pounds of dried eggs at 16,720. FDA Midwest totals exceeded 57 million pounds valued at 519,494,356, led by pork purchases of 44,608,685 pounds for 13,729,723. Other items included dried eggs, dried skim milk, evaporated milk, and soy products.
