Banks Praised For Aid To South Dakota Agriculture
Aberdeen Oct. 26 Banks of South Dakota were praised by W. S. Given vice president of the First National Bank of Aberdeen and agricultural committee chair for the state bankers association for aiding agriculture during 1935. He noted total bank loans rose about 4.25 million to Sept 15 with 3.1 million for agriculture as harvest loomed and harvest expense loans supported farmers after a fifty fifty federal split was approved. He warned livestock district challenges loom and suggested plans for a permanent independent agricultural program.
