Report Says Farmers Storing More Wheat
ST PAUL Minn Octay Farm exe northwest stores more wheat than ever before per Farmers Union. Terminal association surveyed grain elevators in North and South Dakota Minnesota and Montana to find farmers storing wheat due to floor prices. Some sell at any price to pay current bills while inquiries show little wheat being fed. Farmers plan to feed barley rye and other grains first and expect to feed wheat when pastures fail if prices do not improve. The central sentiment is that wheat is worth more for feeding than for selling at current prices.
