Farnum Heintz of Sioux Falls, 21, was found to have a heart on the right side during CCC enrollment medicals in Alvester South Carolina. Dr. David Bell noted the rare condition after listening and testing with 69 applicants present. Heintz had no prior health issues and his mother said the heart position was known but not treated.

Aid Division Meets With Mrs Ed Baum
Wayland October 10 special Aid Division No 3 of Wessington met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs Ed Baum two miles southeast of Wayland. Jerauld Farmer Wins Reversal of Five Year Sentence
The South Dakota Supreme Court reversed Jerauld Farmer’s five year sentence for alleged thefts of three hogs. The court found part of the incriminating testimony was not properly admitted after deposition. The decision cited insufficient diligence in serving a subpoena. In a separate ruling, the court upheld $2,800 damages against Northern States Power Co for injuries from a 1938 car collision near Beresford involving Elizabeth and Edward Scheuring.

County Official Sentenced to Six Years in Prison

Methodist Church Conference Opens in Mitchell
Final sessions of the South Dakota annual conference of the Methodist Church opened in Mitchell on Wednesday after pre meetings.
