Correct Relief CCC Bars Other Relief
Pierre October 1 Employment of a boy in a civilian conservation camp is denying families other federal help, says M. A. Kennedy state welfare commissioner. He urges county welfare directors to fix such cases and notes that family income from the boy’s CCC allotment should count in budget calculations. If insufficient, the major breadwinner should seek WPA work or RA aid, with extra welfare funds possible for unemployable urban families. Boys should not be discouraged from camp enrollment.
